G&R Acquisitions Inc. has purchased 65-branch Damon’s Grill, the second Columbus-based operator-franchisor of casual dining restaurants acquired by the Pittsburgh-based company in recent months.
Earlier, G&R acquired Max & Erma’s, whose chain has 108 casual restaurants.
The Women’s Foodservice Forum said Chairwoman, Linda Pharr, had assumed day-to-day operation of WFF following the departure of former President, Mary Bentley. The group indicated that a search would be conducted to find a permanent replacement. No reason was given for Bentley’s exit after a two-year stint as President.

Ruth’s Hospitality Group Inc. said Monday that Chief Executive and President Michael P. O’Donnell had assumed day-to-day responsibility for its Ruth’s Chris Steak House brand following the resignation of chain President Geoffrey D. K. Stiles. The company said Stiles had surrendered the post, as well as his corporate duties as chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President, to “pursue other opportunities.”
Stiles’ resignation was effective immediately, the company said.
