After the Interview

When you return home, send an email or letter to the interviewer.  Even an old fashioned hand written note can make an impact.  Remind the interviewer of your interest in the position, and reinforce how you believe you could be an asset to the organization.

Your email or letter should...
  • Be sent within 24 hours of any and all interviews with the organization
  • Be written in a professional business format
  • Continue to build upon the relationship already established with the interviewer
  • Refer to a special skill and/or strength discussed during the interview that demonstrates added value
  • Confirm your desire to move forward in the selection process
