A Video Introduction is easy to make, especially since you are in control. Just take a 30-60 second video of yourself (from any digital camera, web cam or laptop). We recommend that no personal identifiers be used other than first name. If you have a tri-pod, use it. If not, stack up books so the camera remains steady.
Definitely show your style, personality and professionalism. Attributes like energy, passion and charisma do not show on a resume, so take the time to think through the message you want to deliver, as well as how you intend to do so. This is your chance to make a great impression.
Think of it as a brief elevator speech for an employer.
You can take a look at what others have done HERE, but feel free to be creative. This is a great forum.
Once the short Video Introduction is complete, simply upload it to You Tube. Provide a title for the video and make sure the You Tube setting is public.
To make it public, select your account name drop down menu and select “My Videos.” Find your Video Introduction and click on the edit button beneath the video information. On the left of your screen, you will see a panel. Expand the “Broadcasting and Sharing Options” tab and make sure your selected privacy setting reads “Share your video with the world (Recommended).” Don’t forget to save changes.
Once complete, simply send the link to our Media Team.
